Disclosed are a method and a device for compensation when estimating the location of a wireless network element from information collected from heterogeneous terminals. A method for estimating the location of a wireless network element is a method realized through a computer, and can include the following steps: a step wherein a wireless network element locating server receives information about the received signal strength of a wireless network element and information about the location of heterogeneous terminals from the heterogeneous terminals; a step of revising the received signal strength information from the heterogeneous terminals into received signal strength information from a predetermined reference terminal by using a pre-generated difference value model for the received signal strength of the wireless network element among the heterogeneous terminals; and a step of estimating the location of the wireless network element by using the revised, received signal strength information from the reference terminal and the received location information.
