The present invention relates to a method for preventing motorcycle collision accidents and to a helmet device therefor. The helmet device is supplied with power by a solar cell module. In addition, the helmet device operates a camera unit mounted on a front portion of the helmet device in order to capture an image at the start of travel, receives a sensed signal from a shock sensor so as to obtain a shock value, and, if the shock value is larger than a threshold shock value, operates a neck airbag unit. In addition, the helmet device calculates, upon receipt of an echo signal from an ultrasonic sensor, the distance to the vehicle behind the motorcycle on the basis of the echo signal, and controls a warning issuing operation on the basis of the calculated distance. |
