PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an ethylenic polymer composition especially more excellent in moldability than widely known ethylenic polymer and excellent in mechanical strength; a molded product obtained from the ethylenic polymer; a multilayer film especially excellent in blocking resistance; and a multilayer film.SOLUTION: A method of producing a catalyst for olefin polymerization includes: a step of bringing a transition metal complex (A) into contact with a solid carrier (S) at specific temperature Ta (°C) to obtain a transition metal complex-added carrier (Sa); and a step of bringing a specific transition metal complex (B) into contact with the transition metal complex-added carrier (Sa) at temperature Tb (°C) lower than the temperature Ta.
