PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling mechanism of a label printer for efficiently cooling the inside of a printer housing by changing the rotating speed and the rotating direction of a fan, using the torque of gears rotatively driving a platen roller.SOLUTION: A cooling mechanism includes: a printer housing 2; a driving mechanism including a platen roller 3, provided inside the printer housing 2, and gears rotatively driving the platen roller; and a fan 11 rotated by the torque from either of the gears in the driving mechanism. The cooling mechanism includes a rotation conversion mechanism 20, in which the fan 11 is rotated when the platen roller 3 is rotatively driven and either rotating direction of forward rotation and reverse rotation is converted into one direction, to thereby rotate the fan 11 to a fixed direction regardless of the rotating direction of the platen roller 3. |
