PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner and an image forming apparatus, capable of easily replacing a light source while eliminating a holder to which the light source is attached to decrease the number of parts, and adjusting the light source to a rotating direction after the light source is attached.SOLUTION: A first casing is an optical housing for storing a cylindrical lens and a collimator lens as optical elements, and a polygon scanner as deflecting scanning means for deflecting and scanning a light beam. In the first casing, a positioning surface 754 which is a positioning part to which an LDA 51c as a light source abuts in an optical axis direction to position the LDA 51c in the optical axis direction. The LDA 51c is positioned on the positioning surface 754 and the LDA 51c is pressed to a positioning surface side by a pressing surface 112 of a pressing member 110, thereby, the LDA 51c is held and fixed to the first casing by the pressing member 110 and the positioning surface 754. |
