PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil component in which a high Q value is obtained.SOLUTION: A coil body 14 of a coil component forms a spiral shape by providing a spiral groove G on the side face of a cylindrical conductor, and has a planar mounting face S in a part of the side face. External electrodes 16a, 16b are provided on the mounting face S. The inner peripheral surface of the coil body forms a circular shape when it is planarly viewed from an axis direction. The spiral groove G is formed by laser processing.
