PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To significantly enhance the efficiency of enzymatic saccharification of cellulosic biomass raw material after its alkali treatment in an enzymatic saccharification method, and to develop a retrieval technique for a useful compound from waste fluid which carried out solid-liquid separation after the alkali treatment, while developing a pretreatment technique decreasing neutralization waste fluid largely.SOLUTION: An enzymic saccharification method for cellulose-based biomass raw materials is provided which is characterized by performing alkali treatment after grinding cellulose-based biomass raw materials, then performing solid-liquid separation, neutralizing the solid concerned using carbon dioxide, and performing an enzyme saccharification reaction. Moreover, a recovery method for useful compounds, such as ferulic acid and p-coumaric acid from cellulosic biomass raw material is provided which is characterized by performing extraction/purification for the liquid fraction obtained by the solid-liquid separation. |
