PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing a progerin expression inhibitor is provided to effectively treat or prevent disease caused by progerin overexpression. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for treating aging-related diseases contains a progerin expression inhibitor as an active ingredient. The inhibitor is pVHP(Hippel-Lindau tumor suppressor protein)-progerin binding promoter; or RNA interfering-mediated RNA of antisense RNA, RNAi, shRNA, or siRNA. A method for screening a therapeutic agent for treating aging-related diseases comprises: a step of cultuirng pVHP, progerin, and candidate drugs; and a step of selecting analyzing progerin expression level. |
