PURPOSE: An antioxidative composition is provided to secure safety of the composition, and to offer an excellent antioxidative effect. CONSTITUTION: An antioxidative composition contains a Lagerstroemia ovalifolia extract, or a fraction thereof as an active ingredient. The Lagerstroemia ovalifolia extract is obtained by extracting Lagerstroemia ovalifolia or crushed Lagerstroemia ovalifolia using water, alcohol with 1-4 carbons, or their mixture. The fraction is obtained by using DMSO, N-hexane, ethanol, ethyl acetate, butanol, and a mixed solution thereof.
