PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform photographing arranging a main subject in a central part without requiring confirmation of an image in a finder without being affected by photographic conditions such as environment of surroundings.SOLUTION: An imaging device includes: an imaging unit that photographs a subject including a main subject; a swing direction determination unit that determines a swing direction of an imaging device body including the imaging unit; and a signal processing control unit that causes the imaging unit to perform photographing in a period during which the main subject that enters an imaging area of the imaging unit from a direction according to the swing direction determined by the swing direction determination unit is inside the imaging area.
