PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine capable of properly performing both estimation of a crank angle when a crank sensor is abnormal and execution of engine control based on the crank angle.SOLUTION: A control device of an internal combustion engine includes an intake valve timing changing mechanism, an exhaust valve timing changing mechanism, a lock mechanism for locking the intake valve timing in the lock timing, a crank sensor for outputting a crank signal, an intake cam detecting part for outputting an intake cam signal, and an intake cam detecting part for outputting an exhaust cam signal. Detecting accuracy of the intake cam detecting part is set higher than an exhaust cam detecting part. Engine control is executed based on the crank angle detected based on the crank signal and the intake cam signal. When the crank sensor is abnormal (S101: YES), operation control of the intake valve timing changing mechanism based on the exhaust cam signal is executed to put the lock mechanism in a lock state (S104-S106). Besides, the engine control is executed based on an estimated crank angle calculated based on the intake cam signal. |
