PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create a large variety of performances in a pinball game machine by avoiding performance with an uncomfortable feeling at the start of variation even if the number of retained balls increases or decreases between read-ahead determination and variation start.SOLUTION: A pinball game machine has a winning kind discrimination table (Figs.42-44 (not shown)) that determines a winning kind and an offset value determined in correspondence with the winning kind based on a winning or a losing result of lottery and random numbers for symbol decision. At read-ahead determination, the offset value obtained using the winning kind discrimination table is corrected in such a manner that the current number of remaining balls is not considered (S371 in Fig.14 and Fig.45 (not shown)) and a rough kind of variation pattern is only read ahead and determined. At variation start, the offset value obtained using the winning kind discrimination table is corrected in such a manner that the current number of remaining balls is considered (S441 in Fig.19 (not shown) and S in Fig.52 (not shown)), and a variation pattern kind corresponding to the offset value after correction and a random number for variation pattern is determined (S443-S445 in Fig.19 (not shown)). |
