PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector which can effectively prevent a break due to folding of a lead wire connected to a wiring terminal, and a problem generated during the conductive connection of the wiring terminal, such as the generation of bending stress; and is suitable for improving the detection accuracy of a thermocouple sensor. SOLUTION: A connector 1 comprises a base portion 3 with an opening portion 2 on which a wiring terminal T can be placed, a connector terminal portion 4 provided on an inner bottom surface of the opening portion 2, a slide cover 5 slidably provided on the opening portion 2, and a leaf spring 6 slidably provided in the same direction as the slide cover 5. When the slide cover 5 slides and retracts in a direction opening the opening portion 2, the leaf spring 6 and a fulcrum shaft 6A slide and retract in the same direction as the slide cover 5, and a pressurizing portion B of the leaf spring 6 separates from the connector terminal portion 4 by rotating action of the leaf spring 6 about the fulcrum shaft 6A. Therefore, the connector terminal portion 4 is exposed in a free space having no obstacle thereon, and the wiring terminal T is placed on the connector terminal portion 4 from the free space.
