Efficient radio resource management in a mobile communication system

The method involves splitting a frequency band into a set of subbands for a communication between network radio stations (NodeB 1, NodeB 2) and a subscriber station (MS). Information relating to transmission powers used by the radio station (NodeB 2) for the subbands is received by the radio station (NodeB 1) from the radio station (NodeB 2). Another information relating to a reception level for the subscriber station for a signal emitted by the radio station (NodeB 2) on one of the subbands is received by the radio station (NodeB 1) from the subscriber station. An independent claim is also included for a network radio station with a communication unit.
