<p>PURPOSE: A display device and a control method thereof are provided to minimize errors occurring during interfacing and to conveniently interface by displaying a user interface (UI) having a proper size for a currently watching user. CONSTITUTION: An image processing unit (12) processes an image signal and a display unit (13) displays a UI for interfacing a user and an image based on the signal. A control unit (14) corresponds to a currently watching user to determine the size of the UI displayed on the display unit and displays the determined UI on the display unit. The control unit increases the size of the UI as the age of the user gets higher. A recognizing unit (15) recognizes a physical property of the user and the control unit determines the age of the user based on the physical property.
