PURPOSE: A display device is provided to increase the aperture and thus improve the brightness by reducing the width of a light shielding part. CONSTITUTION: A second display substrate (DS2) includes a first transmitting area (TA1), a second transmitting area (TA2), and a non-transmitting area (NTA) and is placed on the top of a first display substrate. The first transmitting area includes multiple transmitting units arranged in a first direction. The second transmitting area includes multiple transmitting units arranged in a first direction and is placed at an interval from the first transmitting area in a second direction which crosses the first direction. The non-transmitting area is placed between the first transmitting area and the second transmitting area. An optical member (PR) includes a left-eye retarder (PR-L), a right-eye retarder (PR-R), and an image blocking part (PR-B) and is placed on the top of the second display substrate. The left-eye retarder overlaps in the first transmitting area. The right-eye retarder overlaps in the second transmitting area. The image blocking part overlaps in the non-transmitting area and has the same width as the non-transmitting area. |
