PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain rotation of a pinion shaft even under such a condition that holding of the pinion shaft is released.SOLUTION: An assist part B of a power steering device includes an assist side pinion shaft 33 which has a pinion 33P connected to a rack 24B of a rack shaft 24, a drive part for rotating a worm gear 32, a worm wheel 34 which is provided to the assist side pinion shaft 33, and is connected to the worm gear 32 of the drive part to receive a drive force of the drive part so as to rotate the assist side pinion shaft 33, a cover member 19 provided to cover at least an end part side of the assist side pinion shaft 33, and a rotation permission part 50 which is provided to a counter part of the assist side pinion shaft 33 and the cover member 19, and permits, when the assist side pinion shaft 33 moves toward the cover member 19, rotation of the assist side pinion shaft 33 under such a condition as being sandwiched between an end part of the assist side pinion shaft 33 and the cover member 19. |
