A dual-purpose automobile engine spark plug, comprising: a metal shell body (1), a central electrode (2), a side electrode (3), an insulator (4), and a spark plug body (5). The metal shell body (1) is located in the front end of the spark plug body (5), the central electrode (2) is located in the metal shell body (1), the insulator (4) is located between the central electrode (2) and the metal shell body (1), the side electrode (3) is welded on a front port side of the metal shell body (1), the width of the side electrode (3) is 3.0 mm and the thickness of the side electrode (3) is 2.0 mm. The front end surface of the metal shell body (1) is flush with the front end surface of the insulator (4) sleeved at the front end of the central electrode (2). The engine spark plug has a better endurance ability for the high temperature of ethanol engine.
