PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely design damping characteristics of a vibration attenuation means in an autotensioner A, to enable variable adjustment of damping force and to apply stable and high damping force.SOLUTION: An autotensioner A includes a fixing member 1 having a shaft 3, and an oscillating member 10 having a boss 12 externally fitted into the shaft 3 in a swingable manner. The oscillating member 10 includes a torsion coil spring 18 in which a pulley 17 in contact with a belt B is rotatably supported on an arm tip 16a offset from the oscillating center of the boss 12, and which pivotably biases the oscillating member 10 in a direction where the pulley 17 presses the belt B. As a means for attenuating the oscillation of the oscillating member 10, a plurality of Belleville springs 30, 31 compressed and stacked between a front plate 26 fixed to the shaft 3 and the end face of the boss 12, to generate a damping force at least by mutual sliding resistance between the Belleville springs 30, 31. |
