<p>A power cable apparatus which is operated by a remote control transmitter (not shown) which sends a signal to a receiver in the printed circuit board 56 in order to operate the motor 17 to retract an electric hook up cable onto drum 12 and is specially designed to be fitted new vehicles including touring caravans, motor homes, RVs trailers or water craft during production, or retrofitted; to provide power to the vehicles The rewind motor 17 is powered by a 12v or 24v Direct Current supplied by either the Direct Current circuit fitted to the vehicle or from a rechargeable battery fitted inside the apparatus which may be recharged whilst the apparatus is connected to the mains. The apparatus has a built in relay to prevent electric cable being wound in whilst it is connected to mains power and is fitted with a quick connector (not shown) mounted in aperture 53 which allows the power inlet cable (not shown) to be replaced. The device has a clutch 47 to allow the cable to be paid out by hand prior to connection and a cable laying device 58 to prevent the cable from becoming tangled. The apparatus may be housed in a weatherproof compartment.</p> |
