The sleeve (10), made from polymer multifilaments of 1200 to over 2000 decitex textured e.g. by a False Twist or Fixed False Twist process, is produced by a circular knit with a jersey outer surface (11) and a soft web inner surface (12) made by float loops (12a). The length of the float loops corresponds to a distance of between three and six needles of the knitted structure, so that a cross-section has been three and six loops facing the protected pipe in a diamond-shaped weft. |
