PURPOSE: An error tracking method of a programmable logic controller (PLC) accurately grasps the cause of errors of a driven program by recording and reading a contact state at the time when the errors are generated while the driven program is executed. CONSTITUTION: An error storage program executed in a PLC system stores error history information generated during the execution of a driven program in a memory (S21). An error tracking program executed in a management computer connected to the PLC system loads the error history information stored in the memory and displays situations of errors on a screen (S22). The error history information includes information about a contact state of the PLC system. The error tracking program displays the contact state when the errors are generated.
