PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sufficient massage effect for a user without forcing the user to take an improper posture in a chair-type massage machine with a low backrest.SOLUTION: A chair-type massage machine 1 includes: a seat 2; a foundation frame 8 supporting the seat 2 on a floor surface; a backrest 3 disposed in the rear of the seat 2 and capable of supporting the back of a user; and a massaging part 6, housed inside the backrest 3, for performing massaging motions for the user seated on the seat 2. The chair-type massage machine 1 also includes a lifting means 15 for adjusting the height of the backrest 3 changeably in the vertical direction, between a storage position in which the lower side of the backrest 3 is stored lower than the seat 2 and a projecting position in which the lower side of the backrest 3 is moved upward. |
