SILICA PARTICLE AND RESIN COMPOSITION CONTAINING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a resin mixture filled with silica particles as a filler and having high fluidity even when the filling rate of the filler is increased; and silica particles as a filler therefor.SOLUTION: Silica particles include not less than 90 mass% of silica particles (X) having particle diameters ranging from 500 nm to 75 μm, and 0.5 to 10 mass% of silica ultra-fine particles (Y) in which the particle size distribution shows a local maximum value in the particle diameter range of from 50 nm to 300 nm and 95 mass% or more of the ultra-fine particles is in the particle diameter range of from 30 nm to 500 nm. A resin composition is obtained by mixing the silica particles with a resin.
