PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily and efficiently perform solid/liquid separation, and to accurately detect an interface position between sludge and supernatant water.SOLUTION: A wastewater treatment apparatus includes: a plurality of tilted plates 110 provided to a treatment tank 100 supplied with wastewater; a sensor 202 disposed inside a through-hole 112 provided in the tilted plates 110, sending ultrasonic wave or light toward a bottom face of the treatment tank 100, and receiving the ultrasonic wave or light reflected in water; a calculation portion 206 calculating an interface position between a suspension solid deposition layer and supernatant water inside the treatment tank 100 based on a received sinal by the sensor 202; and a cleaning portion cleaning the sensor 202 by injecting a cleaning medium. The sensor 202 is disposed in such a manner that a bottom face is positioned at a place with the same height as a lower end of the tilted plates 110 or at a place higher than the lower end. |
