PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a resin prepreg in which an industrial-quality thermoplastic resin prepreg can be produced in a simple production apparatus and in a short production time, the thermoplastic resin prepreg being excellent in the resin impregnation state, the homogeneity of reinforced fiber orientation, and the adhesion state between resin and reinforcing fiber. SOLUTION: A carbon fiber sheet 1 is subjected to sewing by a heat-resistant thread 2 with a predetermined seam length, sewing length, and sewing interval in the direction perpendicular to the fiber direction. Then, the sewn carbon fiber sheet is immersed in acetone to remove a sizing agent and a coupling agent on the surface of the fiber bundle to obtain a continuous reinforced fiber sheet 10. Optionally, a coupling agent to improve the adhesion between fiber and resin is added to the fiber surface. Then, the continuous reinforced fiber sheet 10 and a polycarbonate sheet 4 are laminated, heated and pressurized, thereby pressure-impregnating the polycarbonate resin between the fibers to obtain a polycarbonate-carbon fiber prepreg.
