PURPOSE: A sewing machine is provided to prevent the operation error of the machine by stopping the current of the motor of the machine when power supply voltage is generated. CONSTITUTION: A sewing machine comprises a main circuit, a sewing machine motor, a driving device, a sub circuit, a power controlling unit and a voltage detecting unit. The main circuit comprises a transformer which is connected to the external power supply. The sub circuit transforms electricity from the main circuit to voltage which is supplied to the driving device. The voltage detecting unit detects the first voltage of the transformer. When the first voltage is below the set value, the power controlling unit controls the main circuit so that for a set time (ΔT1) the current of the motor is stopped.
