PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin molded article, a molding compound therefor and a method for producing the molded article.SOLUTION: A molded article comprises: 20-65 mass% of a thermoplastic resin and 35-80 mass% of carbon fiber with a single filament fineness of 1.0-2.4 dtex; wherein, the carbon fiber is in the form of single filament; the mass-average filament length (Lw) of the carbon fiber is 0.5-10.0 mm; and the orientation parameter (fp) of the carbon fiber defined in the present Specification is -0.25 to 0.25.
