PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection pump capable of reducing a pressure-fed amount of fuel when atmospheric pressure is lower than a predetermined value.SOLUTION: A fuel injection pump includes: a first fuel supply path 141 for supplying fuel to a gallery G; a second fuel supply path 142 for supplying the fuel to the gallery G; an orifice 143 for limiting a flow rate of the fuel flowing in the second fuel supply path 142; an electromagnetic changeover valve 144 for guiding the fuel from a feed pump FT to the first fuel supply path 141 or the second fuel supply path 142; and an air pressure sensor PS for detecting atmospheric pressure. When the atmospheric pressure is lower than a predetermined value, the fuel is supplied to the gallery G using the second fuel supply path 142 to drop internal pressure of the gallery G and reduce the fuel supplied into the plunger barrel 112, thereby reducing a pressure-fed amount of the fuel. |
