PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety of train operations by updating, for each train stopping at a platform, a detected area for an obstacle detection performed by a detection device of a movable platform gate apparatus.SOLUTION: A control means 26 of a movable platform gate apparatus 24 includes an updating function for updating a detection area of a detection device 22 for each train stopping at a platform depending on a position and a shape of a side face of each vehicle. In other words, the control means 26 updates the detection area every time a train stops at the platform so as to correspond to the position and the shape of the vehicle side face of the train actually stopping at the platform. Thereby, since an obstacle detection performed by the detection device 22 is performed in the updated detection area, the obstacle detection can be performed within the detection area set as a suitable range, without enlarging a range which is not covered by the obstacle detection regardless of a vehicle type of a train stopping at the platform, and thus, safety of train operations can be improved. |
