PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an amount of data communication in a radio communication system.SOLUTION: A radio communication system 1 comprises a plurality of radio terminals 5-1 to 5-5 having ad hoc communication functions, and a radio base station 2. In the radio communication system 1, the radio base station directly transmits data to one radio terminal 5-2 among a plurality of radio terminals which have required the radio base station to transmit the same data, and causes the one radio terminal to transfer the data to the other radio terminals 5-1 and 5-4 among the plurality of radio terminals by the ad hoc communication function of the one radio terminal.
