PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a photochromic spectacle lens capable of forming a photochromic film having sufficient hardness while restraining the temperature rise of a base material composed of a finish lens by intermittently performing ultraviolet irradiation.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method of a photochromic spectacle lens includes: a coating liquid layer formation step S1 of forming a coating liquid layer which contains an ultraviolet ray curing type photochromic material on a protruded surface of a base material for a spectacle lens; a preheating step S2 of heating the coating liquid layer to the temperature within a predetermined temperature range; and a film curing step S3 of forming a photochromic film by intermittently irradiating the coating liquid layer with ultraviolet rays for predetermined film forming time so that the state where the temperature of the base material is within the temperature range may be maintained. The temperature range is set to be lower than the temperature at which the base material deforms, and to be a temperature minimally necessary for the photochromic film to complete curing or higher. |
