PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure more logical blocks for which parallelism is secured, and manage logical blocks with less management information.SOLUTION: In a logical block construction method for a semiconductor storage device including a nonvolatile semiconductor memory including a plurality of physical blocks as the units of data erasure and including a plurality of parallel operation elements as a set unit of physical blocks operable in parallel, the shortage of physical blocks up to a prescribed number is allowed for performing construction of logical blocks.
