PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To block a first information processing apparatus from an attack by a second information processing apparatus having defensive capacity against an attack substantially equal to or higher than that of the first information processing apparatus.SOLUTION: An information processing system includes a second information processing apparatus having defensive capacity against an attack substantially equal to or higher than that of a first information processing apparatus. The information processing system further includes a communication substitution unit for the second information processing apparatus that substitutes at least a part of communication connection with an external network or an external apparatus by the first information processing apparatus, and an attack blocking unit that blocks an attack included in the communication connection with the external network or the external apparatus by the communication substitution unit.
