PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an O/W-type emulsion ink composition for ballpoint pens forming a quick-drying written mark, and free from blurring trouble of the written mark even by rubbing the mark with strong rubbing force e.g., with a wet hand immediately after writing.SOLUTION: There is provided an O/W-type emulsion ink composition for ballpoint pens produced by dispersing and emulsifying an oil phase containing at least a fatty acid ester and an organic solvent in an aqueous phase by using a surfactant, wherein the fatty acid ester has a melting point of ≥40°C and an IOB of ≤0.20, and the IOB difference between the fatty acid ester and the organic solvent is ≥0.50. |
