INSULATION SYSTEM FOR LNG CARGOCONTAINMENT

PURPOSE: An insulation system for an LNG cargo tank is provided to improve insulation performance by removing impurities from inert gas. CONSTITUTION: An insulation system (1) for an LNG cargo tank comprises a primary insulation wall (10), a secondary insulation wall (20), foam (30), and an inert gas circulation system (40). The primary insulation wall is installed between primary and secondary sealing walls (W1, W2) for preventing LNG leakage. The secondary insulation wall is installed between the secondary sealing wall and the inner wall of a hull. The foam is used as an insulation material and is filled on the inner side of the primary and secondary insulation walls. The inert gas circulation system separates impurities from inert gas and circulates the pure inert gas to the primary and secondary insulation walls.
