PURPOSE: A measurement device for the value of a resistor and a method thereof are provided to omit indirect current measurement performed by an amplifier circuit which is complicated and expensive. CONSTITUTION: A first RC element has a first time constant and includes a first capacitor (CR) and an additional resistor (RR) which is connected to the first capacitor in parallel. A second RC element has a second time constant and includes a second capacitor (CL) and a resistor (RL) which is connected to the second capacitor in parallel and is to be measured. An evaluation circuit (Control) is connected to the first and second capacitors and charges the first and second capacitors to a first voltage (VR) and a second voltage (VL) respectively.
