PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bumper reinforcement capable of moderating the degree of an increase of a collision load to be transmitted to a vehicle body at the early stage of collision.SOLUTION: A bumper reinforcement R1 formed of a hollow shape material includes a rear wall 1 for facing a vehicle body, an upper wall 21 extending from the upper part of the rear wall 1 toward the front side, a lower wall 3 extending from the lower part of the rear wall 1 toward the front side, a front wall 4 supported only by the upper wall 2 and the lower wall 3, an upper reinforcing wall 5 ranging from the intermediate in the height direction of the rear wall 1 to the intermediate in the longitudinal direction of the upper wall 2, and a lower reinforcing wall 6 ranging from the intermediate in the height direction of the rear wall 1 to the intermediate in the longitudinal direction of the lower wall 3. When it is cut at a virtual plane using the center axis of the hollow shape material as a normal line, the front wall 4 is located in front of a virtual line P passing through the front part of the upper reinforcing wall 5 and the front part of the lower reinforcing wall 6. |
