The MIMO stream separation unit 212 includes a size reduction type symbol ranking table 242 in which symbol candidates are stored in order of distance from the area center, the shortest distance first, for up to the ranking equal to the upper limit value of ranks set to smaller values than the modulation level of the transmit signal. The MIMO stream separation unit 212 includes a survival symbol selection unit 238 which selects a symbol candidate on the basis of the detected area and the size reduction type symbol ranking table 242. |
