PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor device capable of preventing a collector current Ic in an output stage IGBT from varying during an operation of a current control circuit or a self blockage circuit, preventing an ignition plug from causing erroneous ignition, and achieving device miniaturization.SOLUTION: A semiconductor device for ignition comprises a pulse generating circuit 23, a switching circuit 22, and a current source circuit 21 so as to implement a current control function and a self blocking function. A pulse current is generated by the pulse generating circuit 23, the switching circuit 22, and the current source circuit 21, and a capacitor 44 is electrically discharged by the pulse current at self blockage so that a collector current Ic at an output stage IGBT4 does not vary during an operation of a current control circuit 3 or a self blockage circuit 17, thereby preventing an ignition plug 7 from causing erroneous ignition. In addition, pulse-like electric discharge makes it possible to miniaturize the capacitor 44, thereby miniaturizing the semiconductor device. |
