PURPOSE: An electrophoresis display device is provided to improve a contrast ratio by applying different pixel voltages to pixel electrodes. CONSTITUTION: A first substrate (10) includes a pixel (PXij). An insulating layer (30) for covering a first pixel electrode (PE1) is formed on the first substrate. A second pixel electrode (PE2) insulates the upper part of the first pixel electrode. A second substrate (20) faces the first substrate. A partition electrode (WE) is formed between the first substrate and the second substrate. An electrophoresis material (40) includes a dielectric solvent (42) and electrophoresis particles (44) dispersed in the dielectric solvent.
