PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence of failure in display due to a reverse tilt domain caused by correction of a video signal according to strength of a lateral electric field generated in a pixel.SOLUTION: A video processing circuit 30 corrects an input video signal for specifying an applied voltage of a liquid crystal element for each pixel and individually defines the applied voltage of the liquid crystal element on the basis of the video signal corrected. The video processing circuit comprises: a boundary detection section for detecting a boundary between a first pixel whose applied voltage specified by an input video signal of a current frame falls below a first voltage and a second pixel whose applied voltage is not less than a second voltage higher than the first voltage; and a correction section for correcting the video signal specifying the applied voltage of the first pixel adjacent to the boundary detected by the boundary detection section to a video signal specifying a third voltage that is higher than the applied voltage of the first pixel and corresponds to the applied voltage of the second pixel adjacent to the boundary.
