Abstract - 594102 Disclosed herein is a composition for in vivo consumption comprising: an aqueous suspension, comprising: nutritional supplements; and, one or more hydrogel particles that encapsulate one or more nutritional supplements of (a), wherein the one or more hydrogel particles have a diameter between 1 nanometer to 1000 micrometers; comprise one or more compounds that are crosslinked and that release the encapsulated one or more nutritional supplements in a for time controlled and sustained manner release of the nutritional supplements in vivo; are pH-responsive, wherein one or more compounds of the hydrogel particles do not swell at pH 1-3; and are temperature-responsive, wherein one or more compounds of the hydrogel particles have a lower critical solution temperature in aqueous solution, wherein release of the one or more nutritional supplements from the one or more hydrogel microparticles is time controlled and released such that the absorption kinetics of the composition are different than a composition without compounds for time controlled and sustained release of the nutritional supplements in vivo.
