PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a membrane filtration apparatus which makes it possible to suppress increase in a facility scale, initial cost and running cost such as power cost and chemical cost, and to provide an operation method of the membrane filtration apparatus.SOLUTION: A membrane filtration apparatus includes: membrane modules 1, 1having pretreatment membranes 1a for obtaining filtrate by filtering insoluble components in raw water; a reverse osmosis membrane module 2 disposed downstream of the membrane modules and having a reverse osmosis membrane separating the filtrate into concentrated water and product water; a cleaning device 3 cleaning the pretreatment membranes 1a of the membrane modules 1, 1; and a centrifugal separation device 4 removing the insoluble components from cleaning water after used for cleaning the pretreatment membranes 1a. |
