PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion device having excellent mechanical strength and electrical characteristics.SOLUTION: The photoelectric conversion device includes a silicon substrate having, on the front and back thereof, a structure where a plurality of grooves each having a substantially V-shaped cross section in the short axis direction are adjoining, a p-n junction region formed on the silicon substrate, and a pair of electrodes for taking out carriers. When viewed from one or the other surface of the silicon substrate, the grooves in the front and back of the silicon substrate are crossing at an angle of 15°-60°, and formed to cross the cleavage surface of the silicon substrate. |
