PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell which can facilitate miniaturization, have a good gas diffusion property, and equalize surface pressure.SOLUTION: A fuel cell comprises: a membrane electrode assembly 30 which is formed by arranging catalyst layers 34, 36 on a polymer electrolyte membrane 32; an anode separator 40 which is arranged on an anode side of the membrane electrode assembly 30; a cathode separator 45 which is arranged on a cathode side of the membrane electrode assembly 30; a plurality of first bosses 50 which are arranged at intervals in a gas flow path space 42 disposed between the membrane electrode assembly 30 and the anode separator 40; a plurality of second bosses 55 which are arranged at intervals in a gas flow path space 47 disposed between the membrane electrode assembly 30 and the cathode separator 45; and support bodies 60, 65 which consist of a conductive porous base material disposed at least one of a location between the membrane electrode assembly 30 and the first boss 50, and a location between the membrane electrode assembly 30 and the second boss 55. An abutting face 52 of the first boss 50 and an abutting face 57 of the second boss to the support bodies 60, 65 are positioned to sandwich the membrane electrode assembly 30 and the support bodies 60, 65 and not to be overlapped with each other. |
