<p>In a tape feeder (11) configured so as to mount multiple reel cassettes (21) so as to enable individual attachment/removal thereof to/from a feeder body (13), each reel cassette (21) is provided with a read/write RF tag (81). A reader/writer (82) that communicates with the RF tag (81) on each reel cassette (21) is provided on the feeder body (13). The following information is written in each RF tag (81): identification information for the reel cassette (21); usage history; abnormality/failure history; repair history; problem return history; and identification information for a sprocket drive unit (41) pertaining to a time of abnormality/failure occurrence.</p>
