PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a semipermeable membrane support and the semipermeable membrane support with excellent smoothness of a coating surface, preventing strike-through of a semipermeable membrane solution, with excellent adhesiveness between non-coating surfaces, causing little wrinkle before application of the semipermeable membrane solution, and causing little wrinkle after the application of the semipermeable membrane solution.SOLUTION: A semipermeable membrane support is provided that is formed by containing main fiber consisting of synthetic fibers and binder fibers, with "-lateral shrinkage/longitudinal shrinkage" of the semipermeable membrane support being -0.10 to 0.30. |
