PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent flatness of a document table of an image reading part disposed above an apparatus main body even when a the apparatus main body is deformed due to such a cause as an installation environment of the main body of the image forming apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 comprises a reading unit 3 and a main body frame 10A. The main body frame 10A supports the reading unit 3 and internally houses an image forming part for forming an image on a sheet. A rear end part of the reading unit 3 is journaled to the main body frame 10A by a first bearing part 123A or the like. In order to make a front end part of the reading unit 3 capable of opening in a vertical direction, the front end part of the reading unit 3 comes into contact with the main body frame 10A from above at a first fixing part 123C and a second fixing part 123D by its own weight while the reading unit 3 is rotatably supported at the first bearing part 123A. |
