PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a Sushi roll filling for which solid foods can be used and which has a texture and taste suited as a filling for a Sushi roll.SOLUTION: A Sushi roll filling is manufactured by coating the surfaces of a plurality of solid ingredients 11 cut in rod or dice shapes with powdered proteins or powdered polysaccharides, wrapping a sheet of food around the plurality of solid ingredients, and heat treating the entire filling. The filling 13 manufactured can be frozen to provide a frozen filling. Further, a Sushi roll 15 can be obtained by wrapping cooked rice around the filling. The Sushi roll obtained may be frozen or refrigerated to provide a frozen or refrigerated Sushi roll. |
